The final photo in the series from the Mare Island Night Photography workshop I attended a couple weeks ago – my introduction to, as instructor Tim Baskerville of The Nocturnes would put it, “the dark side.” (I see that Tim has referred to this photo as a “node of Nocturnes.” I think I like that.)
My brother Richard Mitchell does wonderful photography in the Pacific Northwest, and his work is starting to get the wider attention it deserves. Right now a collection of his photographs is on display at the Washington State Capitol in the offices of Lt. Governor Brad Owen.
