The Grandstand is a large rock formation that sits out in the vast expanse of the Racetrack Playa, the Playa being the location of the famous “moving rocks” of Death Valley National Park. This photograph was made from the shoulder of the Grandstand, looking more or less south toward the far end of the playa where the moving rock originate.
