Thanks, Tom. No, no neutral density filter for this one. If I recall correctly, I got a long enough exposure just by shooting at f/16 and using a polarizing filter – which, of course, gives some of the same effect as the ND.
For this kind of shot (waterfall or cascade or rocky creek) you often don’t need a really long exposure to get a nice motion blur effect since the water is running pretty fast. If you go with an exposure that is very long you end up with no detail of the water flow.
