This is a color version on yesterday’s photo. I don’t think this is the final version – I have some ideas for the foreground to try yet.

No one who has tried to photograph a scene like this will be surprised to hear that this image is a composite of two RAW conversions of the same image – the dynamic range between the distant, sunlit peaks and the foreground was trememdous. In this case, I did one conversion with settings for the peaks and their snowfields. The second conversion was set for the foreground area. The two conversions were combined using various masks, etc and then touched up. (This is the sort of image for which a traditional film photographer might employ a graduated neutral density filter.)
