One More Time: Canon Lens and Speedlite ‘Instant Rebate’ Ends Soon

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS for Under $2000

If you are a Canon photographer you probably know that the EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS telephoto zoom  is one of the best lenses that Canon makes… and that the list price is well into the $2000 range. Right now, for a short time, B&H Photo is offering the lens for only $1974. That is $400 off of the regular price, $100 less than the current ‘Instant Rebate’ price, and the first time I’ve seen the lens available for less than $2000. I’ve been posting to this blog in one form or another for over a half-dozen years now. One side effect of this is that certain articles that made sense when posted years ago end up looking pretty dated today! I found several of those while doing some maintenance on the site today. A couple mentioned my then-current 8MP cropped sensor camera and so forth – gear I haven’t used for years.
