The story: This dirt road runs along much of the ridgetop between Mission Peak and Monument Peak above Fremont and Milpitas, California. I love these open, ridgetop grasslands but they can be difficult to photograph unless the conditions are just right and you find some interesting arrangement of the formal elements. Here the curve of the road leads into the distance at the ridgeline, there were some interesting clouds, and the early morning lighting was just right.
