
What are we seeing here? I don’t want to say too much, since I’d rather than you mostly respond to what it appears to be. The image is derived from a desert “intimate landscape” — a photograph encompassing a very small portion of the landscape. Perhaps you can see the brighter areas on the right as being related to stars or galaxies, and the jagged lines might suggest electricity. It is up to you!
My imaginary landscape photographs are not meant to evoke a kind of believable sense of the “real” landscape. They start with materials from photographed landscapes, but then use them as resources for manipulation using post-processing tools.
