I have recently shared a lot of photographs from Scotland, where we spent almost two weeks in May. But that was not the extent of our trip — in all, we were “on the road” for six weeks, also visiting Ireland and England. Ireland was next on our agenda after we departed Scotland, and we had a bit more than a week there. This time we concentrated on cities, quite a contrast with our rural adventures in Scotland. Our first stop was the marvelous city of Dublin.
Our lodgings were a short block away from the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, so it was one of our first stops as we started exploring the city. It is a huge cathedral, next to a large grassy park. Generally, when we visit such places, we like to just take our time and wander slowly. As I wander I find views and subjects that warrant photographs. For this one I positioned myself between the rows of the choir and photographed the great length to the cathedral.
