Bath Abbey

Bath Abbey
“Bath Abbey” — The interior of Bath Abbey, showing side columns.

It seems that I left some of my photographs from our spring 2026 visit to Scotland, Ireland, and England behind. That happens from time to time, usually when I get distracted by some other photographic project. But I’ve plunged back into the rather large collection of raw files from that trip, and I’m working on them once again. This photograph comes from our visit to Bath, England following our weeklong walk in the Cotswolds.

We had heard and seen a lot about Bath but had not previously visited. One of our goals on this trip was to fill in a few blank spaces on our English travel map. Bath was an obvious target as it isn’t far from where we ended our walk, and it fit into our larger plan of traveling a loop of English cities. Bath is, of course, a popular place with tourists, and even though we arrived before the peak season it was busy. One morning we had time to spend wandering inside the big Bath Abbay, photographing its impressive interior spaces.
