This is another street photograph from the area of central Aberdeen, Scotland a bit west the Victoria Dock. There are many old and narrow streets here that twist and turn in interesting ways. Some of the streets feature a lot of street art and, unlike in some places I’ve visited and photographed, much of it stands apart for better viewing and is rarely defaced by other marks.
This one caught my attention — hard for it not too with those eyes staring back at you fro the wall! Like some similar pieces, it occupies an intended area on a concrete wall that is framed by other portions of the wall. The figure itself is interesting, but so is the setting. And in this case, those inexplicable red boxes on the sidewalk seem to change everything about the scene.
