This is a bit of an odd post for this site. While updating older photographs and posts I was unable to locate this one. So I’m sort of semi/maybe/kind of reposting it. The photograph comes from almost two decades ago on one of my many visits to the Big Sur Coastline of California. This visit was on a late-spring day when fog was clearing from coastal bluffs and the surf was active.
This camera position has always been a popular location, though more typically with a different subject than the one seen here. Two decades ago it was an easy matter to pull over here and photograph, even on busy days. Today, that is no longer the case. Because of that other subject, the spot became so popular that the area is often jammed with tourists. That aside, it is still a beautiful section of the coast, with steep bluffs winding off into the distance.
