Big Sur Coastline Near Rocky Creek with giant winter surf and low fog.

The conditions were a bit unusual on this winter day. The “fog” is not the usual coastal fog drifting in from the ocean. Rather, it was the result of tremendous amounts of spray being thrown up by the huge winter surf that was rolling in.

I was leaving a Giants-Cubs game (Giants won!) at AT&T Park when I saw this scene looking up toward downtown San Francisco with the classic view of the fog rolling in over the city in the early evening. Yes, I take my camera to ball games, too. :-)

Late spring morning on the Big Sur Coast near Bixby Bridge. I had just enough time to drive down to this point and back on a weekend morning when the sun was breaking through the coastal fog earlier than usual.
